Lunch at the @diningcar.at onboard the F4 service bound to Oslo 🇳🇴 Despite a nice coach, I fear that SNCF and RENFE gave some advices to our friend VY. The food was bad with a poor presentation and a high price. I know we’re in Norway but 35€ for a pizza, a hot dog and two sodas is a bit high 😶‍🌫️

Oslo bound with @vygruppen.bsky.social F4 service🚆🇳🇴 We are booked in the first class equivalent called « Pluss » - great seats with a separated table. It’s quite amazing to be honest, plenty of space for backpack, laptop, drinks etc… Oh and btw, hot drinks are unlimited in the middle of the car 🙌

After a wonderful night in Vatnahalsen it’s time to head back to Oslo, first thing first a quick 4 min ride up to Myrdal with the wonderful Flåmsbana to Myrdal where we will take the train back to Oslo on the Bergensbanen 🇳🇴🤩 I can’t wait to experience more of this wonderful line under the ❄️

Yesterday, I tried a very unique night train product—the Plus Night seat operated by @vygruppen.bsky.social between Oslo and Bergen 🇳🇴 This is basically a lie-flat business class seat that you can find on many airliners, but on a train! 🚆

Oslo bound with VY 🇳🇴 Last time I travelled on this route it was onboard Class 73, now it’s on a Class 74, a rather pleasant EMU built by Stadler!

That’s the end of the ride for the inaugural #EuropeanSleeper, originally bound for Venice 🇮🇹, but the train terminates in Innsbruck. Passengers will continue on a Railjet to Verona and a Frecciarossa to Venice! There’s a lot to say about this journey, good and bad. Stay tuned for the YouTube video!

Since I’m traveling to Norway and can’t be everywhere at once, I sent someone on my behalf to the inaugural run of #EuropeanSleeper from Brussels 🇧🇪 to Venice 🇮🇹 The train left Brussels with a significant delay and will terminate in Innsbruck instead of Venice but it’s still a great addition! 🚆

Made it to Kiel! I left at 08:23 and arrived in Kiel at 16:34, with three train changes, all operated by @deutsche-bahn.bsky.social. They were all on time to the second. When it works, the German railway system is outstanding. When it works … 😏

Arrowhead Stadium and Berlin's Olympiastadion share similar capacities as World Cup venues. Yet Arrowhead has 19,000 parking spaces served by one local bus, while Olympiastadion has 660 spaces and three rapid train stations. We are truly not ready for the World Cup.
