Is someone at New Pictures is a Pre-Raph fan? There's a Rossetti Annunciation in the same room in Ep1, about 24mins in. Other paintings too. Possibly a horizontally-flipped El Greco of St Peter in Anton Lesser's bedroom?

Each drawing has a unique texture and decorative quality achieved through her varied mark making and media.

They are unlike her other drawings which are usually preparatory sketches for an oil painting. She purchased β€˜cakes’ (dry pellets) of gold pigment from her colourman Charles Roberson and ground them down to a powder which she formed into a guache paint and a hard crayon.
