My point was that comics that exaggerated bodies come in all forms in comics, not all are meant to be pretty. Besides that, I never felt insecure or less about my own skinny body from reading comics, as opposed to seeing a jacked Henry Cavill, for instance.

My guess is you don’t have much issues with some of the weird and gigantic characters in comics like One Piece, but rather your issue is with the promotion of unrealistic beauty standards.
My question is why go against comics? Models and actors are far worse role models in that regard.

Yeah, I’ve seen plenty of worse tweets (posted quite a few myself) with no repercussions. With all the misinformation, flerf, antivax nonsense and antisemitism going on there, you wouldn’t think this would get someone suspended.

I wasn’t planning on taking sides. It’s a slippery slope in my experience. Once you give in to one side you’ll end up having to deal with more and more of their issues with others you personally don’t have issues with
