Hey writers, a request: Could we please retire the storyline where a woman states explicitly she doesn't want to be a mother/have kids, then gets accidentally pregnant and changes her mind? It's not the triumphant story of motherhood you think it is.

I need to elaborate on this more at some point when I am less busy with work, but I believe small, internally consistent references do a lot more work to support an immersive narrative than any big lore sweep or dive ever will.

Fun fact: the King Alfred statue here is a smaller version of the original, which utilised a Roman sculpture of Minerva. The oversized leg and dress gives him a disproportionate look, as she would have stood around 3m tall. insitu.org.uk/2024/09/20/k...

Picked up two creepy dudes with no chill. Ditched 'em for two stoner chicks with an epic skillset. Delivered pizza and beer. Felt threatened by rainbows and birds that don't move. Had one (1) beer and got jailed. Imma play again, this time I know the value of a tent.

I've been trying to get my head back into the hot topics of the front-end conf circuit, and was not expecting quite so much AI 'you're going to get left behind' chatter. Ask it a Vue or a CSS question, if you want smoke to start coming out and it to start telling you there's three Rs in <div>.
