He says what we've been shouting that MAGA just wouldn't hear but he says it in a way that some of them will hear. He's a rural farmer who speaks how they speak. @hcrichardson.bsky.social I posted 4 you to watch bec I think he's the missing link in our messaging. www.youtube.com/watch?v=O4CR...

ATTN HHS EMPLOYEES: Firing notices are going out. I am in receipt of an email saying they will revoke your access as soon as you read the email that you've been fired. Please download everything you need before you open that email. SHARE FAR & WIDE. My latest: www.muellershewrote.com/p/attn-hhs-e...

Government employees: please download your performance reviews/personnel files. Word is that the system will be going offline tomorrow to possible amend those performance reviews for justification of firings. Source: American Federation of Govt Employees. *Please share to protect fed workers*

So an "umbrella review" came out today in the Journal of Hospital Infection TL;dr HAIs are still a problem And they still have no clue what to do about it Oh, almost forgot, and they want more funding to continue to not figure it out 🙄

Found the most out of the way corner of this airport and the best we get is… not good. This is not typical of North American airport terminals at all but I guess I’m in DBH’s BC…

Excellent paper that summarizes all we know about the effectiveness of portable air filters. Is government going to wait for the class action lawsuits before they take action? www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...

We've been working the past 3 days on a purifier donation to Clean Air LA from our friends at @smarterhepa.bsky.social, and everything arrived yesterday! Many high-powered purifiers are now in evacuation shelters around Los Angeles, cleaning the air of wildfire smoke & airborne pathogens. 🩵

Those of us who have followed the science & have known this for years are getting real annoyed with the rest of you refusing to listen. Please knock it off & pay attention. www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...

If purifiers near you in LA are sold out, this is a good opportunity to get a discounted one faster than am*zon can ship it

Around 6.5 million die globally every single year because of air pollution. This is never mentioned, we need #CleanAir and air filters everywhere.

How great would it be if @joeyfox85 (@joeyfox85.bsky.social ?) would become active here? I have learned so much from him and his ItsAirborne.com blog! I also hope @j_g_allen (of Harvard Healthy Building Program) would give this app a try.

It's astonishing how little attention is paid to the quality of the air we breathe, especially in sensitive areas such as schools, hospitals and nursing homes. However, a few pioneers around the world are showing us the way 🔽.

The city of Yokohama in Japan has installed 1999 connected CO2 monitors to measure indoor air quality in its schools. The data is freely accessible on an website: minnaair-yokohama.com/yokohama To find out which cities worldwide offer similar systems, visit letsair.org#early .

I will provide an update tomorrow on the situation in the South Bay of San Diego. Link:

I'm beyond upset to hear from residents in San Diego about the harshness of the air they are breathing. We have a preprint that shows the high levels of just ONE toxic gas, hydrogen sulfide. There are hundreds more!! No one should be asked to breathe this air. Help!! chemrxiv.org/engage/chemr...

New Year, a new start. The best gift ever for patients & visitors in Southampton. I saw this on X earlier. Bravo to them for advising on the correct PPE. Something @uklabour.bsky.social should have been pressing UKHSA to do. This post shows good awareness of ventilation also. #Covidisairborne

SARS-CoV-2 in meatpacking plants: "This study suggests areas of greatest risk are likely areas where workers break from work, such as cafeterias and locker rooms, where ventilation is poorer, use of face masks is reduced, and people congregate...." /1

Study links poor indoor air quality to COVID clusters. "Taiwanese medical researchers have linked air quality in kindergarten classrooms to increased risk of COVID-19 cluster infections, a research paper published in the journal Indoor Air showed." Study: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10....

Many thanks @leopuglisi6.bsky.social - excellent and informative. www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQla...

This is a pattern that’s been recognized for some time…respiratory infections diffuse up the age gradient. Daycares and schools are amplifiers. For diseases that spread through air, a focus on ventilation and filtration in areas where kids could probably blunt this

Connecticut is leading the nation in classroom air filtration - thanks to the efforts of Marina Creed and her team at UConn Health and the elegant engineering marvels from @corsiaq.bsky.social & Jim Rosenthal! 👏👏 UConn Keeping Air in Connecticut Classrooms Safe today.uconn.edu/2024/10/ucon...
