Have you ever noticed that people who complain about others mooching off the rest of society are the same people who want to end the merit system? They want a society that *gives* them positions far beyond their merit. How is that not the very definition of freeloading?

Honestly, I think our current situations rhymes with the confederacy, and Trump supporters are essentially a neo-confederate movement. Likewise, people in blue states are addicted to the products of these people, and they pretty much lie to themselves that they aren't supporting it.

This is true at the national level. The non-adjustment is even more unforgivable at the state level, in places like WI, where the full-scale far right authoritarian assault on universities has been going on for 15 years. Something that's been bothering me is that there is a serious contradiction on our side of the fence. If people really believe what they say, why are they buying the products and investing their money into the companies of the billionaires responsible for this stuff?

I think the billionaires behind tarnishing America's name around the world need to be comforted with a real tea party movement where prodemocracy people abandon all products associated with these people. This includes not posting on twitter. It means checking your investments in your 401k.
