I have had some nerds go "this isn't actually what chatgpt is doing" as if I give a fuck about the finer details of statistical analysis of words in my metaphor. It is doing exactly this but fancied up with the linear algebra you learn in the first 3 weeks of any introductory course.

I had a thought the other day - if the 'pro-AI' are so adamant that AI created images are real art, then surely they will have examples of art that evokes strong emotions in them? I posted online asking for examples, and I have to say I was disappointed with the results.

So I'm seeing more and more concerning news about a new form of "Chat-GPT induced schizophrenia". GPT seems to be uniquely adapted to maladapting brains; in the same way social media use can push non-clinical populations into diagnosable ADHD territory. Research is sorely needed on this subject
