Interesting contrast of transportation methods at this past weekend's Celebrate West Hartford! We managed to park about 200 bikes throughout the weekend in just 3 car spaces, about 70-80 at any given time.

In June 2022, Bob O’Neal was struck and killed by a car on South Main Street. Today, South Main Street looks the same as it did in 2022. In December 2022, Eugenia Yurovsky was struck and killed by a car on Boulevard. Today, Boulevard looks the same as it did in 2022. (1/6)

Insane school drop-off line this morning. I had a great time in the Urban Arrow, got there in 3 minutes per usual, and just bundled the kids up. I was sweating by the end!

Why can Hartford do this on small residential roads but somehow it's impossible in West Hartford?

Is the Canadian food supply better than ours in America? One of my favorite things about visiting Montreal is that food just tastes better... I'm not a foodie and don't seek out anything fancy. Just simple stuff like apples, strawberries, bread, and chocolate TASTE so much better. Why!?!

Last night I had to get from Grand Central to Stamford and happened to pick up the New Canaan train. At PEAK HOUR the train was not more than 1/4 full. That is not right. People in towns like New Canaan are enriched, both in terms of property values and opportunities, by the train.

In addition to TOD, let's do DOT. Cut train service to towns that refuse to build near their stations. We should not be spending extraordinary amounts of taxpayer dollars so that small groups of people can hoard the precious resource that is Metro-North.

I'm moving into MY OWN PRIVATE ADDICTION MEDICINE PRACTICE!! In the bike: file cabinet, gigantic printer/scanner, urine drug screens, coffee maker, coffee, laptop, oh and my son's helmet to get him from school on the ride back.

Bike commuters found to have HR of 0.53 for all-cause mortality compared to non-active commuters (47% reduction), in addition to fewer mental health prescriptions, fewer hospitalizations, and lower cardiovascular mortality: bmjpublichealth.bmj.com/content/2/1/...

Montreal continues to show the rest of North America how it's done

Office supply runs are so much more fun on a cargo bike!
