Thanks, appreciate the link, will read on it more. And I’m not trying to nitpick but you said to check out the American Bird Conservancy website, which I did, and they specifically show, describe, and sell bird-shaped designs. At the end of the day we’re all on the same page to protect birds. 🐦👍

The image I included of bird-shaped decals was from the second link. I don’t disagree with you that it should be installed as recommended, and that there are better options, but again, the OP has at least made a decent attempt.

At the end of the day it’s better than nothing, and it’s now educated me on better protecting birds against our own windows. We back onto a wetland pond and love our wildlife. This Northern Saw-whet Owl 🦉 did strike our rear patio door, rested, hopefully recovered fully, and then flew off.

I took your advice and first went here: abcbirds.org/blog/truth-a... That then took me to another link: abcbirds.org/solutions/pr... And while other products like cords, adhesive squares, and tape may possibly work better, they still sell and recommend the decals similar to what the OP is using.

We were so blessed to come across this Insular Newfoundland Red Fox mom and her kits on the Skerwink Trail.

Or build a better predator-resistant coop. I’m only half-handy but after 4 years the coop and extended run I built at my wife’s request has kept our 10 chickens perfectly safe. And we live out in the middle of nowhere where bears, raccoons, coyotes, snakes, eagles, hawks, fishers & foxes reside.

Would the laughing or crying emoji better fit as a response here? 🙄

Lovely. Some recent captures of mine in Frontenac Provincial Park just north of Kingston, Ontario.
