I honestly think everyone on the left really needs to watch this video, because it kind of explains in depth why being quieter on things like trans rights is such a gigantic mistake rn. In short trump won bc right wingers showed up, not bc anyone moved right.

I think we really should talk about the way Eco's Ur-Fascism is seen as a Buzzfeed Listicle ("How to Identify Fascism in 14 EASY STEPS") instead of as a historical document written by someone who lived through Italian Fascism. Not to mention the idea that a fascist regime need only tick one box.
