Slashing Medicaid will kill poor and disabled Americans. Republicans know this and are trying to do it, anyway. This is what an actual extremist policy looks like. It kills people. Yet shitty Dems want to spend their time attacking Mamdani. Fight for the people, not against them. This is dire.

I'm looking at you, @portofseattle.bsky.social - the requirement to dismount on the Interbay trail does nothing for safety for cyclists or pedestrians, and just requires cyclists to take up more space on an already narrow trail

“If public transit agencies want to recapture ridership and echo the success of bus services like Route 49, it may be best for them to talk to current users rather than potential public transit converts.”

This is incorrect. 9/10 Americans do not own a vehicle—9/10 households own a vehicle. 3/10 Americans do not have a drivers license, fyi. www.smartcitiesdive.com/news/car-cul...

Taco Chicken, Bothell, WA, No Kings protest. Despite being a city of 48k, I estimate a couple thousand folks turned out. Maybe there is hope after all. #nokings

The Ballard Bridge in Seattle was open to humans today. It's amazing how big it feels without cars. Surely there's enough room for bike lanes? #PeopleStreets #CompleteStreets #connection #transportation

I've been lucky enough to never need a ride hail ever, despite being a non-driver. This is yet another reason I would rather bike or walk 10s of miles or use public transit, as the ride hail business model only works for the affluent, and depends on illegal driving practices and political grifting.

We're really thankful to live in a region that values providing people without cars or who can't drive the ability to get out into nature. Just got back from our first Trailhead Direct hike of the season across Squak Mountain! #CarFree #OutdoorRecreation @transittrekker.bsky.social

I was recently invited by my health insurance to fill out a survey in part about how important new clinics "within a 15 minute drive" were for me. Like a third of the population, I can't drive. This is just one way that our built environment can become exclusionary.

Link 2 Line got one step closer to completion, with unpowered testing across the I90 floating bridge!

Thank goodness I don't use a wheelchair since Metro doesn't even bother listing alternatives for all the routes on the notice. What's even more unclear is the nature of the problem, since these are platforms dedicated to transit.
