One of my favorite things about living in the city is when it's warm enough to open the windows and you're treated to bits and pieces of whatever's blasting from the speakers of the cars just outside, waiting for the light to change. I've heard literally every genre of music in dozens of languages

When DST ends on November 2nd and the clocks go an hour back, I'm going to move my alarm an hour forward, so my body thinks I'm getting up at the same time, but I'll actually be getting up an hour earlier with 0 effort required, because time is a lie. That's my consolation for DST beginning.

I know of a veteran who recently had a heart attack and needs heart surgery ASAP, but he can't get it because the VA requires pre-authorization for it and the VA has been brought to a standstill by the Trump Administration, so no one can approve it. We are leaving our veterans to die.
