Why leave it so late? If the Biden administration truly wanted “safety” for the 🇺🇦 people, NATO would be directly involved in shooting down 🇷🇺 missiles!

NATO has taken over coordination of Western military aid to Ukraine from the U.S., aiming to secure the support mechanism ahead of U.S. President-elect Trump’s term. This move strengthens NATO's role in aiding Ukraine without committing its own forces. www.reuters.com/world/nato-t...

Zelenskyy criticises Western indecision over Georgia's pro-Russian government

Russia’s war narrative against Ukraine intertwines imperialist ideologies, historical revisionism, and ethno-cultural supremacy to justify aggression, framing the conflict as a spiritual and defensive struggle against a hostile West. 1/3

The deeper misunderstanding behind @theguardian.com's and similar idle dreams is the idea that the West can somehow talk and contract away Russia's 500-year old state tradition of territorial expansionism, political colonialism and cultural imperialism. /1

The West lacks clarity on its purpose in the Russo-Ukrainian war, has no defined strategic objective, and fails to fully understand the consequences of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said in an interview with Politico.

Auf Seite 1 der FAZ steht heute in wenigen Worten, was zu sagen ist.

On 1 Dec 1991, Ukrainians decisively chose independence, with over 90% of voters supporting the declaration. The turnout was an impressive 84%. I remember that day vividly—it was the day a dream became reality. You can hear more about it in my TED talk: www.ted.com/talks/olesya...

I vatnik-segmentet bliver det ellers ofte hævdet, at der ingen kobling er mellem Sovjet og Rusland.

Seems that the Russians are curious about what is going on in Kattegat. mil.in.ua/en/news/russ...

Training soldiers is key to shoring up 🇺🇦 defence. Biletskyi advocates for 1000s of trainers to train 10.000 soldiers a month. NATO needs to field trainers in western 🇺🇦 to support combat experienced 🇺🇦 trainers ASAP! www.pravda.com.ua/eng/articles...

At the Kaluganaftoprodukt oil depot, 4 fuel tanks are reportedly on fire after ~8 Ukrainian UAVs attacked it.

What Russian state TV told Russians today: "The situation is more acute than the 1962 Cuban missile crisis. Then there were just 2 players: Khrushchev & Kennedy. They were in contact..Today there's no contact between Russia/US leaders; there are multiple levels to this, & hostilities are underway.”

Ukraine and Russia’s constitutions, their hawkish publics, Crimea’s peculiar situation, and Eastern European skepticism about Moscow’s long-term intentions all make a negotiated peace extremely unlikely. nationalinterest.org/feature/why-...

Important read on the consequences of letting Russia prevail in Ukraine.
