OK, fourth and final banger from today’s trade-in haul: Elvis Costello and The Attractions > Armed Forces 1979 US Pressing

Spinning some live Bruce but probably not all 5 LPs because that is A LOT of Bruce to handle in one sitting

If AI was used to create the perfect rock and roll singer it would probably just be Bob Seger.

Saturday morning spins… T. Rex > Electric Warrior My uncle’s old copy, likely a mid-70s repress.

This week’s #FugaziFriday selection is In On the Kill Taker. Cheers.

Happy Bandcamp Friday to all who celebrate! The Soft Boys “Underwater Moonlight” (2025 Remaster) is available for pre-order from the Tiny Ghost Records Bandcamp page. Here’s the link: thesoftboysofficial.bandcamp.com/album/underw...

It’s raining in SoCal and my daughter has a HS lacrosse game and I am very happy its a road game and I did not have to go.

Now spinning: Band of Horses > Everything All The Time

The ol’ algorithm played me a Phosphorescent song and it reminded me I haven’t listened to this banger in a while youtu.be/jULlldN64f4?...

TV on the Radio was one of those bands I found at random in my very early college years; Cookie Mountain is to this day one of my favorite albums. The way they’ve managed to layer so much in every song still astounds me. I can’t believe the album is 19 years old! #nowspinning #vinyl #vinylsky

Tuesday afternoon spins, part deux: Joy Division > Substance The 2 albums are essential but all the best JD songs can be found on this puppy.

Time for a few afternoon spins. First up: The Clash > Give ‘Em Enough Rope Recent 180 gram reissue

Are there any Guided By Voices completists out there? And how much do you pay annually at the storage facility? #Inquiringminds

spinnin….Wilco - Being There

Now spinning: Love > Forever Changes 1967, US Pressing

Celebrating Robyn Hitchcock on his 72nd birthday. "Underwater Moonlight has gone on to become a neo-psychedelic masterpiece, but it hit the record stores well before everybody and his sister hopped aboard the paisley bandwagon..."

GOOD MORNING FELLOW BABIES! WHATS on the turntable NOW! Continuing my sad yet determined examination of a musical pioneer of punk and last of the great glam bands… R.I. P. may you stay forever young…🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹✌️♥️

Which artist who took a heel turn or just turned out to be a twat, bummed you out the most? Mine is Morrissey. What a twat.

In advance of the Oscars tonight: a lot of comedy heroes let you down. They become unfunny/bitter/closed minded. Conan is the exception. He has grown & evolved & is funnier than he’s ever been. He’s also an extremely kind and lovely human. Just a sincere post to say: Conan rules.

I would venture a guess that there isn’t a subset of people more hyper aware of how much dust is actually floating around us than those of us who play/collect vinyl.

From my turntable. This had been played regularly for the last 39 years and still sounds beautiful.

Sometimes the next record picks itself. I have shit to do today but first I gotta hoist up the John B’s sail…

One of the best records of the 60s. Astonishingly great. The Zombies > Odessey & Oracle 1998 UK repress

Gonna keep posting this one every month or so to hopefully expose more people to Jim Sullivan. The Wrecking Crew backs him on this one. Great stuff. Jim Sullivan > U.F.O.

Good morning, sleepy heads. David Bowie > Hunky Dory 1971 Hollywood Pressing

My friends’ cover band played Waiting Room tonight and it was glorious.
