I do IT magic things with the cloud, servers, and stuff. Also do programming, primarily in C#/Rust, and scripting with PowerShell.

The problem isn't the alerting I've set up. It's automating the removal of those emails from the indicators in those alerts.

Probably over 200,000 phishing emails from random Gmail addresses today, so that's how my day has been going.

I just love how they have an amazing interactive frontend framework with Blazor that can be rendered server side, but they choose not to use it and do every fucking thing client side. Every. Single. Thing... Sometimes.

Where does Microsoft store the state for dark mode? Client side? Server side? Who knows? Those annoying "guided walkthroughs" are triggered client side and will show up every time site data (cookies/session storage) is cleared.

All that money from license upsells and laid off employees gets spent really well. And by spent really well I mean boofing the money to get that sweet sweet high of Copilot copium.

If you want to get to the actual table of contents for the product, you have to click on a tiny three dot icon at the top right below the header and then click on "Table of contents". That's just... Asshole design.

Nope! Opens up a completely different menu for navigating across other docs.

Or how about the strangest change that I still can't believe was made to their documentation site. Which button opens the table of contents? Is it the hamburger menu on the top left?

Seriously. After all these years they still can't do responsive web design for any of their admin sites.

For example, with our Mastodon server I deploy a container for cloudflared in the pod for the frontend. That keeps all communication directly within the pod's network and prevents network overhead from having cloudflared in a separate deployment.

Also if you don't dig into it too much, this is apparently a longstanding glibc quirk (Or as a bug, depending on who you ask).

I pretty much tick all the boxes for this to happen. Especially since FediProto Sync is multi-threaded... To an extent. Posts aren't processed in parallel (For a good reason), nor are individual tasks for building the synced post (Yet).

If I don't stick with it, any changes I make to the theme will be transferable to how I do my website now anyway.

Will I stick with it? Dunno! Depends on how much I enjoy using Leptos. Trying to see how well this will work. Especially with a mostly server-side rendered website.
