It’s naive to think something could break the fever but millions of angry Boomers who can’t easily access their benefits just might make a dent.

Top Dems from Ways and Means out with a statement on this: "Attacking the Social Security Administration’s ability to deliver benefits is an attack on the American people’s benefits."

Yep. Just blocked these ... evildoers. Highly recommend.

The new deputy director of the FBI recently said Trump should “set up a courtroom” in the White House and “just start making judicial decisions”

The Musk lackey operating as Treasury's fiscal assistant secretary is still "currently" working as CEO of a software company. "...bosses are simultaneously running private companies while also running parts of the government that affect their businesses." By @telliotter.bsky.social

The Army takes money out of junior troops' paychecks to pay for food at mess halls. Apparently, the service is pocketing a bunch of it and spending that money elsewhere. Story from @stevenbeynon.bsky.social

woe to those trying to come at Hugh over this history!

X owner Elon Musk and right-wing influencers are attempting to redefine "doxing" to include reporting the identities of government employees — information that is typically disclosable through public records requests and the reporting of which is protected by the First Amendment. [NYTimes]

Meanwhile, (mostly) outside of Washington ... How did a drug rooted, like many, in seed money from the U.S. government — that is, American taxpayers — and spurred by the grassroots fundraising of desperate parents, end up costing $2 million? @propublica.org www.propublica.org/article/zolg...

As Congress prepares to slash Medicare, Medicaid, and the Affordable Care Act, here's Dan Boguslaw with details of their concierge medical service, the taxpayer-subsidized Office of the Attending Physician, which provides them top-notch emergency & primary care for a little over $50/month:

To no one's surprise, Trump was cheered by Chiefs and Eagles fans at Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans 🏈

They had the coders design the commercials.

The commercials are scaring me more than Tom Cruise face.

Georgia's state senate Republicans have proposed a law that would restrict access to the records of third-party contractors and partners of government agencies. That's Cop City. It's also private prisons. Medical service providers in jails. Airport contractors. More. www.legis.ga.gov/legislation/...

I think it should be made clear at this point: If you're a federal employee, you should consider your work devices bugged. If you've logged into personal stuff on those devices, you should consider suspending or deleting the accounts you accessed.

I contacted CYBERCOM the other day to ask about whether it was sending SECDEF recommendations on DOGE access. It said I should talk to SECDEF. SECDEF said I should talk to CYBERCOM. 🙃

They're trying to silence the media because they don't want you to know what they're doing.

Musk seems to indicate he will rehire the DOGE engineer who was fired for posts explicitly advocating racism, eugenics and hatred of immigrants, after Vance calls for his reinstatement and Trump agrees. x.com/elonmusk/sta...

There is a simple solution to the CBS/Trump lawsuit. The Harris campaign should sue Fox and insist Fox release the unedited versions of all their many edited interviews with Trump.
