I’m going to be quoting this a lot. This one made me emotional. Bereft for what we’ve lost. But hopeful for what stories we’re yet to tell as we write our futures.

🏳️‍⚧️ @humanrightsvicky.bsky.social, the trans judge who will be heard, even if she has to take the UK to the European Court of Human Rights 👇 https://www.wearequeeraf.com/the-trans-judge-who-will-be-heard-even-if-she-has-to-take-the-uk-to-the-european-court-of-human-rights/

This is quite a moment for the project. I regularly update ambitions for this project and it gives me great satisfaction to tick two off in one week. Ever since we’ve had badges (and actually even before) I’ve visualised them being worn by MPs in the chamber.

Our fourth feature for the week. And we’re in Japan now and a profile of Japan’s first out transgender politician. Get to know her name 👇

Immediately before this moment @theabigailthorn.bsky.social asked me if she could use the T-slur. I mean, I’m hardly going to say no to Abigail am I!? I haven’t been the the gym in months 😅

@theabigailthorn.bsky.social publicist right now 🫣😬😅 Did we just get an exclusive?

The third of our features. Ashten did an incredible job sharing the story of Frances Thompson - a woman whose courage helped move the United States toward the 14th Amendment. We need to learn her name.

I don't know how to fix things What I do know is being shitty to allies hasn't fixed anything What I do know is, for years, trans people weren't lobbying MPs and anyone suggesting doing that got attacked What I do know is GC people did that and they got almost everything they wanted Just facts

YES! Very glad for this intervention. Historians, musicians, geographers, anthropologists, creative arts people, and doctors all put their necks out for trans rights in the past two weeks. If a bit late, the arrival of the lawyers is hugely welcome!

Thank you @nadiawhittomemp.bsky.social for supporting our project. You said you would wear the badge in the chamber when we met at the Lesbian Visibility Week parliamentary reception. We need more politicians who keep their promises like Nadia has. Thank you 🙏

Hi @zoefranklinld.bsky.social would you consider signing this? Only three Liberal Democrat signatories so far out of a possible 72. In today’s climate of rampant hostility to trans people within parliament, we need your party, a party that says it supports trans people, to do better than 4%

Will you sign adrianramsay.bsky.social?

Today’s copy of the Metro 😎
