It’s the problem with capitulating with the Empire…..the ole comebacker. #imalteringthedeal #prayidontalteritanyfurther

They were careless people, Tom and Daisy- they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made. -FS Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby, published 4/10/1925.

There’s a better “cure” for this anxiety for which you administration folks speak…..doing something. Willful ignorance is hardly useful for that.

I’m glad this still looms in the minds of….oh wait.

Another sunk cost? Investment in relationships in a country that can collapse a global economy on a whim (or illegal insider trading scheme) who happens to want to sell you fossil fuels.

Here's an idea: refuse the nihilism and buy a climate book on sale! Thanks to @bookshop.org for featuring my book, THE LANGUAGE OF CLIMATE POLITICS, in their Earth Day picks.💚 Pick up a copy here👇 bookshop.org/p/books/the-...

yeah sure let’s just sunset all energy and environment regulation. like, all of it. sure. why not at this point? what could possibly go wrong? (that’s what this new EO claims to do)

New piece from me published in Nature Climate Change: Decarbonization can improve energy security, robust trade and a circular economy increases energy security, and critical minerals are not like oil. 🔌💡 Journal link: www.nature.com/articles/s41... Open access link: rdcu.be/eg3lR

Today on Volts: every year, the think tank @ember-energy.org does a comprehensive Global Electricity Review, with data on who's generating power, with what technologies, and how that's changing over time. I discuss the "megatrends" -- booming solar, rising demand, &, uh, China -- with the authors.

More of this please…

US threatens IMO member states with ‘reciprocal measures’ if they agree to levies on shipping emissions.

Thoughts on coal cns.utexas.edu/news/researc....

This administration continues to outdo itself by doing really really dumb things. Princeton has one of the best climate modeling groups in the world, and this administration just cut their funding justified with some anti-science bs.

The timing of today’s @nytimes.com The Daily’s interview w/Princeton’s Eisgruber is in the dot.

It’s a month since the administration detained and disappeared a green card holder, a lawful permanent resident. We cannot allow this to be normalized or forgotten.

Ah yes…a man who peaked in the 80s taking on boasting an enterprise that peaked around he same time. #oldwhitedudeenergy apnews.com/live/donald-...

So well done @booker.senate.gov . What we want to know now is….who’s next!? @schiff.senate.gov? @warren.senate.gov ? @markey.senate.gov ? @murphy.senate.gov? It doesn’t need to be 25 hours long. But it should be every week. Pick a weekly top— I suggest taking the #project2025 chapters in order

Understand that when they talk about Americans working in textile factories and assembling iPhones, they are not envisioning their own children in those jobs. They are envisioning a class of people over which they and their children will have more power, with less irksome pushback.

Solar and EV stocks finished up today…..hmmmmmm

And so it begins….

Ooooh “championing” that’s a fun word. If chronic illness is of interest to Joonyah, by all means let’s delve into pollution”. If only there were an agency to tackle the pollution issue and another one to tackle the health outcomes.
