If you live in SF, write your Supervisor to oppose this. I wrote District 6 Supervisor Matt Dorsey. I would be surprised if he listens, but unless people let him know he has no reason not to acquiesce.

I don't have much interest in the Grammys generally, but as a linguist I'm curious to see whether Shaboozey breaks the never-win curse of artists whose stage name is a phonetic respelling of their actual surname (cf. Jon Bon Jovi, Jason Derulo)
