I'm glad we got to eat fire for Nex.

Saturday February 24th at 6pm at the Parkman Bandstand on the Common, there will be a vigil for Nex Benedict. Here's the official info, some of the orgs involved, and some available resources should you need them.

Boston’s LGBTQ+ community is turning out on Saturday, February 24th, 6pm, at the Boston Common Bandstand, to honor the memory of Nex Benedict. If you are hurting, if you are angry in this moment, I hope you will come together with us in community, to remember and honor them.

Bluesky Boston! There will be a vigil for Nex Benedict, 6PM Saturday, at the Boston Common Bandstand. I'll be boosting the official flyer once it's put together, but consider this yr early notice. Reposting this notice is appreciated.

Hella trans reading of Doctor Who. Especially starting at around 30:00.

Queer, Jewish, Shape-Shifting, Vampire… Owls. Yeah, I’ll be reading that.

Forget the Dining Philosophers. How about two trans women in restroom stalls, neither willing to encounter another woman in the restroom, each waiting for the other to leave first?

Kudos, Gaines Blasdel, at al. Kudos.

On the brighter side of electrolysis, my dermatologist wanted to freeze a mole off with liquid nitrogen. Him: "You're ok? This isn't too much? I can pause if you need a minute." Me: "I had 7 straight hours of electrolysis a few weeks ago." Him: "... 😧 Oh. Well, I guess you're okay then..."

Something I've learned from electrolysis: even after you numb up a patch of skin to the point where you can't actually feel it, it can still get an itch. But you can't scratch the itch, because the skin does not "feel" the scratch, so it just stays itchy. This seems tragically unfair.

I'm mostly on Mastodon, but I guess it's good to be here too? Hi there.
