Happy Friday, nerds! If anyone is interested in checking out v8 (hopefully releasing on Monday), you can see it on develop.snipeitapp.com. We had to pull everything forward to stay in supported versions of PHP and Laravel, but we're pretty stoked about some of the UI improvements.

I just tried GMail's built-in Gemini support on a 68 emails long thread, that started in 2019. It's hilariously wrong on ... pretty much everything. I then switched to another email thead, which did not clear the chat and it mixed the two threads. The future is now.

#scam update: didn't hear this before, but it seems to be new version of a 'brushing scam' www.uspis.gov/news/scam-ar... But in this case with worthless merch sent to a number of houses with a certain postal code without the corrrect name, just to pump some amazon store rating.
