Currently working on making the social interactions provide more information, dialogue, and voice clips. While not difficult, it is time consuming. I basically have to redo every message that already exists in the Log menu. There are a bunch of corner cases. #indiegame #indiedev #gamedev #dev

Social interactions are working. Tweaking some stuff with it, but you can now communicate with the pawns. Feminine and masculine voices with adjustable pitch. The log menu will still be there, but will be used to show previous messages from interactions. #indiegame #indiedev #gamedev #art #gameart

Alright, I'm managing to simulate 100 pawns harvesting on a field of randomly generated crops, with a constant 90-170 FPS with occasional framerate dips. That isn't bad at all, considering I have my debug open, so it's drawing 1k text objects as well. #indiegame #indiedev #gamedev #gaming #art

The pawns how correctly harvest all of the new crops. I am still rewriting a significant amount of the Pawn AI to ensure everything runs at 60 FPS with 100 of them on screen. I need to apply the same optimized checks all over the game. #indiegame #indiedev #gamedev #gameart #screenshotsaturday

All 6 of the new plants, both wild and domesticated versions, are now in the game. Which means I am now done with farming. We have Soy, Cabbage, Hops, Potatoes, Rice and Squash. The Rice has water underneath it, and the Hops have strings to grow on. #indiegame #indiedev #gameart #art #gaming

Currently working on some the energy need for the player and pawns. Because the energy decreases slowly, there isn't really anything meaningful I can show. So have this out of clip from the upcoming trailer instead. #indiedev #indiegame #gamedev #gameart #gaming

Well, that was easy. The game now has a custom cursor set that changes when mousing over clickable objects. Hopefully that helps players with knowing what objects are interactable in menus. As that was a significant complaint during testing. #indiegame #indiedev #gamedev #gaming #gameart

The player can now consume foods. I need to make some changes to the UI better showing this. You can see that the "cheese bar" fills as the character eats. I am going to change the game cursor today I think. I'm tired of not having a stylized cursor. #indiegame #indiedev #gamedev #gaming #gameart

5 new structures have been added. Brewery, Town Hall, Warehouse, Depot, and Vertical Farm. The Vertical Farm plants are going to be procedural. All of the plants aren't done. The buildings currently obscure the player, but I have a solution for that. #indiegame #indiedev #gamedev #gameart #art

I've significantly changed the combat movement controls. The player can now move while firing. Targets will be automatically highlighted when a projectile connects. The player can also hold their shot at the cost of energy. #indiegame #indiedev #gamedev #gaming #gamemaker
