This is why the military's Chief of Staff was fired this weekend. (Fired by a guy whose relevant work experience was weekend anchor on Fox News). Listen to it, and then help rise to defend the America that produced this noble man. www.youtube.com/watch?v=brQL...

Some good news. Now Join @cclusa.org and your local chapter to continue this trend.

Revealing and awful! This just might be the most revealing right-wing attack yet on EVs. It is Luddite, attacking modernity and public goods. It reveals fear. Just as King Canute couldn't stop the tide, President Trump can not stop the incoming EV tsunami! electrek.co/2025/02/21/t...

CCL's San Mateo County chapter knows how to have fun & get the job done 💪 They raised $10k for CCL last year & now they are publishing local media about the benefits of the Inflation Reduction Act. When they’re not busy with climate work, you can catch them at line dancing classes together 🤠

The world is watching Donald Trump abandon Ukraine and our European allies to curry favor with the Kremlin. All of us — Democrats, Republicans, elected officials and ordinary citizens — must push back with every tool we have if we are to save our own democracy and others.

There is zero ambiguity here. It’s nauseating.

Having benefited myself, like probably all of my colleagues, from strong and enthusiastic relations with US scientists and also with institutions such as NOAA, ORNL, NASA and others, I wholeheartedly agree with this must-read thread:

Well, trump voters -- here's what you voted for.

If you are experiencing rage and despair about what is happening in America and the world right now because of the Trump-Vance-Musk regime, you are hardly alone. But a groundswell of opposition is growing. https://robertreich.substack.com/p/ten-reasons-for-optimism

It was an honor to sign the guest book in the home of Anne Frank. I was here as a younger man and thought about her life as a dark chapter of history. Today, I can’t help but think of her story as one of caution. Our world is fragile, and it’s incumbent on us not to break it.

No notes

President Trump and Republicans want working families to foot the bill for tax cuts for the wealthiest in America. Their bill will strip working families of housing, health care, and food, WHILE saddling future generations with enormous debt. This is an insult to the American people.

"Let’s focus on the global about-face, because however grievous the other depredations, they are, at least in theory, reversible. Abandoning world leadership is not." And focus we will. Your must-read of the day:

"bulwarkonline 7h "It has been only 4 weeks since Trump took the oath of office, & I wonder whether casual voters or even those who truly despised Biden have taken onboard what they’ve done. It's so normal to vote for the other guy-but not this time." Mona Charen: www.thebulwark.com/p/america-jo...

Encouraging trends in the new report from @bcsecleanenergy.bsky.social! - Zero emission energy sources (renewable and nuclear) provide 42% of all U.S. power - Renewable energy’s share is 24%, and it’s rising the fastest of all sources of energy across the economy

Donald Trump is a traitor. He’s a traitor to our country. When I first said that publicly a few years ago, it was pretty jarring. It isn’t jarring anymore. Not at all.

www2.citizensclimatelobby.org/acton/rif/17... Very important to share this!

When I wrote that I was voting for Harris, two of the factors that pushed me from voting third party to voting Harris were Trump's attacks on the rule of law and his reckless position on Ukraine. Harris was right on those issues, and Trump was very wrong. Feeling pretty vindicated right now.

More and more scientists are joining the ranks of fired federal workers—and fighting back through protests, appeals, and legal challenges.

This is extremely important!

This is a very important action!

If you are thinking about joining a group in order to find allies to work with during these dark times, @cclusa.org is the largest group of Americans trying to build the political will for climate action so that would be a good choice imo.

What can we do about the Trump administration’s actions that are hurting climate and clean energy? (Freezing IRA funds, curtailing NOAA’s work, etc) CCL's perspective is: Lean hard on Congress. Here’s Executive Director @kerestes.bsky.social — watch her full message at cclusa.org/febcall.
