Kaiser Permanente is royally fucking me over, and if I share my thoughts and feelings the FBI is going to be knocking on my door. It’s scary as fuck out here for disabled and chronically ill people.

Surprising absolutely no one, The Depression is here and it’s rough. Sorry about falling off the face of social media, it will absolutely happen again

Mister E. Douge 2013 - 2025 My best friend and my entire heart. I got to hold him and kiss his nose until the very end. He was the best boy in the whole wide universe.

I don't know who needs to know this, but Pro Publica has an online thing that will format a letter to your US health insurance company to demand the records behind a claim denial. (which the insurance is then legally required to provide in most cases) projects.propublica.org/claimfile/

I did not realize how much of my emotional wellbeing depended on the Sounders winning the playoffs, oof

Rusnák with the playoff hair, hopefully it makes him play saucy

holy shit lmao, go sounders

I believe in the playoff mustache

Still no power. Phone battery is low, temperature in the house is 52°, I’m wearing multiple pairs of pants. Morale is low. I would not have thrived living in previous eras.

Most of the time I love living among the old, tall, beautiful trees of questionable health, but not right now

Somehow I’ve committed myself to reading four books at once, and seven more holds just became available. Please help, I have the time management skills of a deep sea creature

FILTH FILTH FILTH FILTH FILTH

Y’all. Libraries and museums are going to be on the front lines. Please 🙏🏻 visit them & use their services in the coming 2 years. I know most museums cost $, but almost all of them have low cost/no-cost options. (You often can get free museum passes from your library!) Please speak up & support!

I’m making a list of book recommendations for a coworker’s kid and it’s like opening opening Pandora’s box, talking about the books I love is my absolute favorite thing

if you hear someone say “your body, my choice”, you’re legally allowed to punch them in the face. after all: your body, my choice. i don’t make the rules.

Introduce yourself with One book 📚 One movie 🎥 One album 💿 One tv show

You are allowed to celebrate good things that are happening today: your birthday, a book coming out, new baby, new puppy, seeing your favorite piece of art in person, etc. Joy is the knife that stabs into the heart of despair & apathy. Feel your joys, big & small, & share them widely & loudly.

Penalties make me ill

I desperately want to read a book that’s Battlestar Galactica but everyone’s gay and messy

I did not realize penalties were on the table here. I cannot handle penalties on a work night. Please score, Sounders and no other team

Can we have a shot on goal please. I’m begging.

I’m sorry, does Houston’s keeper have a RATTAIL?!?

antisocial when my batteries get low, always antifascist

*5 minute long fart noise*

Having a progressive disability means I am constantly mourning things I discover I can no longer do. I went from doing 6 mile bike rides to needing a cane to walk and stand in under a month and I’m just kind of reeling. If it’s this bad now, what is my future going to look like?

The fact that Harrow the Ninth has become my ultimate comfort book says something about me, but I’m not sure what.

every meteorologist that cries on live tv makes me feel slightly less insane

The office dog was so excited to see me she opened the gate and ran at me full speed 🥹

Perfect weather for a soccer game (I say in my pajamas, on the couch under a blanket)

6 years post brain surgery, 6 years of having a dead pituitary glad and a learning to manage a list of new chronic illnesses and a metric fuck ton of medical trauma. I love being alive, every moment sweet and full of love. I have so much grief for my old life. It’s a lot to hold at once.

I mentioned to my boss a while ago that I grew up reading the Redwall series and today he brought me Mouse Guard. He also VERY CLEARLY stated that I should not read during work hours but he’d be in his office waiting to hear what I thought when I finished it. I love my job.

I’m microdosing election night by anxiously awaiting the Boeing Machinics union vote

Having a bad hair day with short hair is so silly and embarrassing. There’s no hiding it, I’m just walking around resembling alfalfa

I am so overworked and dysregulated lately and it’s such a bummer to be reminded that I have limits I absolutely cannot push past. I just want to work my fingers to the bone like a normal person but I have not gotten enough rest and my body is telling me no. Very loudly.
