Usually found in or in front of the choir. More of a menopausal mezzo these days but gotta keep the brand identity. When not singing I'm usually Trekking to a Star or drinking a beer (or both). West Brom sufferer. Trans rights are human rights. She/her

@orbette.bsky.social found a beer for you

Absolutely not. Every time someone tries this, I point out how it biases against Black speech. Every. Time. 🤷🏿‍♂️ Also from the launch of the Perspective API and its "toxicity" score. Police don't kill too many Black kids." Score: Not toxic.🤦🏿‍♂️ "Police kill too many Black kids. Score: 80.28% toxic.😮

The Beeb trying to out-Jon Jon 'ere ffs

Striking given that Jon was a former Labour member and activist pre-EURef before moving out to Germany, so he's familiar with the internal workings of the party. (IIRC he put himself up for selection as an MEP candidate in the late 2000s).

A very good but depressing thread But in the end, those at the higher levels of the Labour Party are either authoritarians, are power hungry, or are useless - or some combination of the three You could make a case as Tanja does here and they'd go "but my constituents are worried!"

YOU DON'T SAY

Imagine being lectured by RFK Jr about how to be healthy and then having Mark Zuckerberg tell you how many friends normal people should have

Apart from the fact that that is why the reboot exists in the first place, in an attempt to delete the three main stars of the movie franchise who have spoken out against those beliefs.

2 goals in a game in this economy!! #wba

I'd forgotten about Dike tbh #wba

Omg

I know many are desensitized to this since it has essentially been US policy since October 7 (not to mention before), but this is actually the most scandalous passage in the Fetterman piece. nymag.com/intelligence...

I mean, the warning wasn't wrong. #proofOfCat

Been saying since before the election that Labour won't win a second term with Keir at the helm. Quite frankly they need to ditch Rachel Reeves and Wes Streeting too.

No alt text sadly, but you can now add the English Folk Dance and Song Society, a society *specifically established to preserve pre-twentieth-century traditions* to the long list of organisations that are somehow significantly more progressive than the Labour Party.

It's like every website, app and piece of software has developed its own Clippy. Clippy is following me around every day from Google to Zoom to Adobe Acrobat, telling me it looks like I'm trying to exist and would I like help with that

oh okay so she’s very very involved in the show including selecting creative leadership who will drive the entire production but she somehow managed to do it without using her own opinions or thoughts

at the risk of sound like bill bennett, where exactly are the men in these boy’s lives? the fathers? coaches? anyone genuinely concerned with their lives?

Once again begging media reports to get the math right. For example, cutting a $5M five-year grant in year 4 isn't saving $1M, but it is wasting the $4M already spent. Stop letting this administration get away with so many lies.

Just logged into 'Threads' for the first time in ages and multiple posts in my feed were apparent writers expressing they've no issue with their work being used to train AI, actually What a bizarre thing for the Zuckerberg-owned algorithm controlled platform to throw up by pure coincidence

Yes let's absolutely ruin anything that was ever fun

thank you for clarifying that you are well aware of her transphobia and still continuing with the show

Me spotting the Barbican in #Andor

Israel bombed a ship with humanitarian goods in international waters near Europe

This is heartening and, I find, the common experience. We hear time and time again the narrative that *everyone* believes that trans people are bad, evil, whatever, and the support for this is a handful of the hateful usual suspects. Then along comes pushback and people flood in in their thousands.

I have zero interest in ever going to LA until I see Griffith Observatory in any TV programme or film.

*huge bong rip* It's because they fear the hollow, ephemeral nature of their own accomplishments, so they're devaluing the whole of human achievement instead of confronting their fears of mortality

Just got warned that the new "Voice Isolation" feature in Teams, if turned on and trained on a male voice, will filter out all the women in the room, while still allowing the men in the room to be heard online. *clears throat* IF YOU USE A BIASED TRAINING SET, YOUR TECHNOLOGY WILL BE BIASED.

one angle of this is that it underlines that all these agents *know* what they're doing is unpopular, they *know* their friends and families and neighbors disapprove of it, they're extremely invested in not being outed because of the social consequences
