This is a great opportunity to get civil servants and designers actually from ‘left behind’ regions in the room- rather than speculative policy from people with no lived experience of poverty, disability or systemic barriers. I’ll be keeping an eye out for bursaries and collaborative round tables.

Lots of useful analysis here. Standout stat - 2 million economically inactive people want a job. They don’t need harsher benefit conditionality or lower incomes. They need better support & more accessible jobs. That’s what health & disability reforms should focus on.
