We’ve bombed Iran. And dismantled our joint terrorism task force. And sent a third of the FBI to help ICE. And gutted the National Security Council. And a drunk guy is in charge at the pentagon. And our intelligence allies probably won’t share intel with us. Because people couldn’t vote for a woman.

So Kristi Noem goes on Fox and lies that Sen Padilla didn’t ID himself, even though the video is there for all to see. But get what she’s saying: Assaulting and handcuffing someone for trying to ask a question is OK in any case? This is a criminal regime.

Goldman: Both of the issues Marjorie Taylor Greene raised—were widely publicized and thoroughly debated in committee and on the House floor. If you’re publicly admitting that you didn’t know what you were voting on and now regret it—you’re not competent or qualified to serve in Congress.

Lindsey is just a big baby, so there’s that as well.

The entire point.

Pandemic 2 tech's corporate layoffs, + union strikes and finally LA fires.... Forced to sell our house to survive. We will. It will be fine, but so sad. I worked so hard to get here. Ack others lost everything in fires, hurricanes and floods this year. Grateful inside my sadness. Pray for all of us.

This!

Crockett: Right now, it seems like you don’t care about the constitution unless it’s the second amendment and that’s misinterpreted as well. There’s other amendments.. And we don’t get to just change it because our fearless leader says that he doesn’t like it

Whether you get your forecast from an app on your phone, a website or a meteorologist on TV, most of the underlying information comes from the federal government. By @rhersher.bsky.social

It's hard to adequately describe how scary it is to watch mainstream political journalists barely push back against a sitting U.S. president accepting a $400M plane from a foreign government that would literally be designated as an emergency command-and-control center during a nuclear war.

To be effective, our opposition to today's abuses must run alongside a clear picture of what we are actually for - and how everyday life could be better with different leadership.

"Trump lost against the Maine governor. He lost against Perkins Coie. He loses 80% of cases in court. Which makes those who’ve capitulated look that much more foolish, because if they’d just fought back, they would've retained what they thought they'd lose and their dignity would still be intact."

When A President Isn’t A Criminal Propped Up By A Corrupt Supreme Court…

"I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

Duckworth on if she's open to voting to confirm Mike Waltz: "I think everybody on that Signal chain needs to be fired ... he's failing up ... I'm not open to voting for him, no, because he's already demonstrated he's incapable of doing the most basic thing, which is handling classified information."

Crockett: He wants there to be a portion of the budget that goes up to $1 trillion on the defense side. They have failed the very last seven audits. So why would they continue to get raises, which they always do. Yet we're going to hurt the most vulnerable amongst us.

The Public Broadcasting Act of 1967 created the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. I reread it today; nothing in the law allows a president to defund PBS and NPR. In fact, Congress specifically sought to insulate public media from political pressure.

Is this “election fraud” also?

ILLINOIS… Gov. Pritzker…

If we’re serious about more efficient government and better everyday life in America - which we all should be - that means actually improving government, not cutting health care for poor people and slashing support for veterans.

Al gore is pissed off and I’m here for it

I'm attending Volunteer Blue/Together We Elect's event, “No Kings–Then or Now: Historian H. Cox Richardson, AG Campbell, US Rep. Raskin - Res www.mobilize.us/volunteerblu...

Tonight is the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere’s midnight ride. May his memory remind us all to resist the tyranny forming in our government.

250 years ago today America began its march toward independence at the Battles of Lexington and Concord. The battles marked “No Kings Day, Part I.” Today millions of Americans will take part in “No Kings Day, Part II.”

"The security of the world is at stake." Well worth watching President Zelenskyy's interview on 60 Minutes www.cbsnews.com/news/ukraine...

Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions - rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking steps to make sure students can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. Let’s hope others follow suit.

If Stephen Miller can lie about Abrego Garcia and his case on national TV, he can do it in federal court under oath. Judge Xinis should demand his appearance, question him under oath, then jail him for Contempt when he commits Perjury. This lawless administration has to be subjected to rule of law.

Requiring REAL IDs and passports and birth certificates to vote?!? Imagine if these were required to buy a gun.

Would men need to provide a marriage certificate to vote? No? Just women? Got it.

Called my congressman who voted for the SAVE act. Me: What documents will I need to vote if this passes? Staffer: a DL and birth certificate. Me: The documents don’t match Staffer: Then a marriage certificate. Me: Will my husband need the marriage certificate too? Staffer: No Me: See the problem?

NEWS: Consumer sentiment PLUNGED 11% this month to a preliminary reading of 50.8, the second-lowest reading on records going back to 1952. April’s reading was lower than anything seen during the Great Recession.

No lawmaker in Congress should be able to own, buy, and sell individual stocks. We need to ban congressional stock trading—and I've got a bill for that.

“This does not just affect North Carolina,” Riggs said. “This is like dropping a match in a really dry forest. And if we let this kind of anti-democratic effort take hold, we will not be able to contain it. So this is a fight for the very soul of democracy. Today’s decision was deeply misinformed.”
