It appears NYC DSA has ground up, pureed, and served Andrew Cuomo lol

Very frustrating watching people who will still go out of their way to disavow the idea of taking funding from policing react in disbelief when they, once again, see police operating like an occupying army.

90% of their case against Mamdani is he is insufficiently pro-Israel. His budget and public safety priorities are barely more than a footnote. This is a rickety old dog that won't hunt much longer. A win for Mamdani today will help us take out the establishment trash more quickly -- fingers crossed

"Why Won't Zohran Mamdani Stop Asking Me to Bring Him the Red Pages?"

When I'm trying to get a tennis ball out of my dog's mouth

Democrats in Maryland decided not to ban sheriffs from contracting with ICE, worried that the White House may retaliate. Jordy Diaz, who advocates for immigrants' rights in the state, says he's disappointed: "They really dropped the ball.” boltsmag.org/marylan...

Supreme Court: Anyone, citizen or not, can be disappeared to a concentration camp in a foreign country without trial, warrant, or evidence. Democrats: We have to make sure a muslim doesn't get elected mayor

Complacency from liberals in power breeds abuse by conservatives. In the name of preserving norms, Democrats refused to countenance packing the court -- and now the court conservatives have ended due process. And why shouldn't they? They know they have nothing to fear from the liberals

good grief, who's next? buffalo bill?

On Friday night, we walked the length of Manhattan, from Inwood Hill to Battery Park. New Yorkers deserve a Mayor they can see, hear, even yell at. The city is in the streets.

did you just vote to massively deregulate crypto scams? what are you talking about?

It's one of those things like "the velvet underground only sold 6,000 records but everyone who bought it started their own band" but for everyone who answered "yes" to this being given a national newspaper column

The nytimes sends a push notification every time a prominent politician endorses Cuomo because it wants him to win the election

Turn the page, NYC. Turn the page. DO NOT RANK CUOMO.

Forget "not beating the charges" he's moved on to "putting the charges on my resume"

So much NYC mayoral press coverage centers the views of racist psychopaths and ignores the MASSIVE numbers of Jewish New Yorkers working as paid staff and volunteers for the Zohran campaign. I wonder why!

They are the slave patrol. Global enemies of human freedom. If there is a hell, it's for them

Slave patrols. Klansmen. ISIS. Take your pick

In America, "realism" is when the far right does whatever it wants, including shredding the constitution, so that the rich can become richer. When the left wants to do anything, that's magic

hmm

"ok grandpa let's get you home" is the best case scenario we can hope for right now. fingers crossed

Why are these guys lit like they're on the bridge of the Death Star

The preservation of extreme wealth inequality, and the social control it enables for the super rich, is a bipartisan project

Sometimes when there are big world events going on, I poke around high traffic non-political subreddits to see how people who aren't necessarily polarized are reacting. The universality of English-speakers condemning Israeli aggression and celebrating Iran's counterattacks feels like a bellwether

what I would really want Mamdani to be looking at is how to deputize a whole bunch of law enforcement who would be loyal to him, and start heavily firing NYPD as quickly as possible. Trump shouldn't be the only one who can come charging in and hollow out hostile agencies.

A swap meet. The deliberate targeting of people with families who work hard continues
