Happy 👇 day lovelies ❤️

Looks like @sofilein.bsky.social 's ancestor got to this one.

Close enough. Welcome back, Oddball

Got to be in a happy place the other day. Taking the beast out for a check ride.

Repair crew works on an M48 tank from the 1st Bde, 5th Inf Div (Mech) in Quang Tri Province, 23 Sep 68. US Army Signal Corps photo Restoration by erikthehistorian (erik villard) -- Note- there's always that one guy "supervising" in the back :]

Every year we Tankies commemorate the Battle of Cambrai. In the opening attack on 20 November 1917 346 fighting tanks supported by supply tanks and gun carriers, wire pulling tanks, wireless tanks, bridge tanks, and a cable laying tank went into action. The actions of that day are well known. 1/4

In good armor news this week, the Canadian Tank Museum finally received their M1917 and have put it out on display. This was purchased from the AAF in Virginia down in the US which has closed, and is a great expansion to the museum’s collection of WWI era vehicles.

Happy Tanksgiving 😂

It’s #FollowFriday This week is for history/tank/Vehicle fans. @tattooedhistorian.bsky.social @sofilein.bsky.social @otdmilhistory.bsky.social @jim09ea63.bsky.social @rgpoulussen.bsky.social @cdnhistoryehx.bsky.social @lmbd1418.bsky.social @alliedarmour.bsky.social @silenceinpolish.bsky.social

Post a show you're positive no-one remembers but you.

Is this how people normally look at their firstborn???

For #MuseumMonday I would like to promote the Canadian Tank Museum in Oshawa, Ontario. Not only do they have the largest collection of running military vehicles in Canada outside of the actual army, but there is a huge living history display every year as well.

🤔

And it seems we have equalled the follower count from the other place. Welcome to all! I'm Matt and I do aeroplane stuff. As proof, here is the very odd and very cool Ball-Bartoe Jetwing at the Wings Over The Rockies museum. Lots more from there coming up in the coming weeks. #avgeek #aviation

The most popular vehicles at Militracks this past spring were all armored. Looking forward to what they bring out for Militracks 2024!

I’d love to do one of those nice #promosky lists but tbh I mostly post about 💥tanks 💥tank museums 💥tank events 💥tank events at tank museums 💥tanks that someone let me put googly eyes on 💥sometimes aircraft Listen I know my crowd 😂 Glad to see so much military history on this app! Keep it comin’

Finally about to dip my toes into Warframe. Love being the absolute last person to show up for things lmaoo but the community says it’s worth it so here goes

Im gonna say it again: music is VITAL to games. Music guides players. Music enhances emotional moments. Music is so so so important. Funny enough video games are modern operas in the way music is needed to buoy the emotional stakes.

Looking good

Posting this awesome Strv-103C at the National Armor and Cavalry Collection at Ft. Moore in GA along with the Curator of Arsenalen Tank Museum for #TankTuesday. Both are great places to visit, neither of them are on BlueSky yet unfortunately.

Nice shot of the M88A2 hauling the Panther II testbed at the Armor and Cav Collection as they move some of their vehicles around to make space for restoration activity. Looking forward to seeing the progress and new additions to the collection on display!

Eyup everyone #TankTuesday is upon us & this week it’s the Ardennes from my 2018 visit

Had a blast out at the Canadian Tank Museum finally getting acquainted with their running M551 Sheridan. These aren’t particularly rare in the US as static displays or pieces in museums but a running one? Rare as hens’ teeth. It’s great to see another rare experience added and available for guests.

Had a blast as usual out at the Canadian Tank Museum yesterday at their Armageddon Tank Saturday event! Steel Aces sponsored it and it was really fun to the share the news about our upcoming game. Love my tank family up in Canada ❤️

I think one of the worst quirks of online spaces is the idea that if someone doesn't post about something, they don't care about it. It encourages performative posting often makes things worse. I care a lot. I just don't want to add another poorly-informed voice. I'm reading & thinking.

It's a bit last minute but AUSA2023 is a go! I don't do any of that running business so the ten-miler can miss tf out of me but 9-11 Oct you can catch me on the expo floor looking and feeling severely out of place and sperging over the newest tech and armor. See you there!

My first post here, so why not introduce myself with a video about a subject very dear to me. Together with the help of fellow researchers and friends we put the people back into the famous Dead Man's Corner story. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qbwn...

Like sand through a sprocket, these are the days of our lives

The Armor and Cav Collection isn't on Bluesky yet but they did just post the next Open House date. It's the last one of the year apparently and includes a model show and competition!

LET THERE BE TANKS this is a late production Tiger I, under restoration to running condition. It is privately owned and the gun + mantlet and tracks are from other vehicles, added on to make it a more complete static display at Militracks 2023 this past Spring
