I've taken up a new strategy when calling my reps, since I live in a red state: I have taken to pointing out how weak the Republican party looks by not standing up to Elon. After all, the power of Congress comes from controlling the budget, and they're just letting him take that power away.

If you are a federal worker being offered a buyout, I would advise against taking it. Of course, this is a personal decision for everyone and it’s your choice. But these offers are a rush job. The legality is questionable and this admin does not keep to its word. They aren’t firing for a reason.

Where is the line? What is next? Here is what I think will happen: now that Elon got away with doing it, Trump will do it next. His base will think it's funny because he is owning the libs. They will start doing it too... This is how they'll identify each other, and easily single us out.

It’s important to be clear that TikTok could have stayed up through the inauguration. Joe Biden said he’d not enforce the law. They made a choice to shut down and display a pro-Trump message. They weren’t forced to.

I'm at the airport today. Jan 6. I'm looking around and it is just another day... And yet, we move one step closer to a very dark 4 years. It feels - to me - like when you're running down a big steep hill. Bracing. Chances are you'll be okay, but you could also just as easily be injured or worse.
