It’s not the job of the BBC to edit anti-fascist comments www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2025/02... The BBC edited out anti-Trump commentary at the BAFTAs. When art is not allowed free expression, evil walks in the door. What were they doing?

Elon Musk is requesting all the IRS data so he can see all the taxes everybody has paid. One of the first things the Nazis did was go through Social Security data and find everybody who had never worked. They then murdered every disabled person who hadn't.

Prince William got £1m from Rupert Murdoch for agreeing with everything he said. Prince Harry got £20m and an official apology from Rupert Murdoch by standing up to him. Be a man and it pays off.

Reminder that Amazon, Meta, Apple, and Google are each facing federal antitrust lawsuits. They each gave cash hand over fist to Trump’s inaugural fund, which raked in a record $250 million. When I say money in politics corrupts our system, this is what I’m talking about.

Trump effectively pulls US out of global corporate tax deal with 140 countries. The idea was to check corporate tax dodges, require multinationals to pay 15% global corporate minimum tax. What will the EU and UK do? Green light to profit shifting, enrich few, impoverish many. archive.ph/nVSer

Magic Money Tree. UK's last Conservative govt spent £134m on never-used IT systems for failed Rwanda scheme. Altogether, billions wasted. Contracts handed to cronies. Ministers ignored “value for money” advice. No one held to account. www.theguardian.com/world/2025/j...

England's children's homes run by private equity rake in millions. Private firms own 83% of homes. Average charge for a child in care is £281,000 a year. Some charge £63,000 a week per child. For-profit homes provide the worse care. End privatisation scam. www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/market...

The problem is really simple, on every channel, on every radio station, in every newspaper you listen to the lies of the richest. The lies are always the same, they need more money, they can't be taxed, everything is the fault of immigrants or disabled people. But they're the problem.

Never since WW2 has the world been more unstable, we stand on the brink of WW3 and it is all because we have allowed people to get far too much money and power. Now just a few madmen control almost everything.

Nice sounding terms and what they actually mean in real life. Free Market - Monopoly entirely controlled by the richest Free Speech - Monopoly entirely controlled by the loudest who are the richest Democracy - Your chance to pick from a selection of people owned by the richest

Holding Labour accountable is reasonable but that’s NOT what is happening. What we’re seeing is the most rich powerful people in the world throwing all they’re got at a democratically elected UK government, because it’s far less likely to work solely in THEIR interests than the previous one.

Matt Frei, "4 years ago Zuckerberg bumped Trump of his platform because of January 6th, now he's given a $1 million to his inauguration, he's gone to pay reverence at Mar-a-lago, and he's got rid of the fact checkers. Why is he doing all this? What's your best guess?

I've just shut up the East Wing, reduced Simmonds to a 5 day week, and sacked Rogers the chauffeur for much the same reason. Seems I'll have to drive the children back to school in the Bentley myself this Easter term.

TEESWORKS scandal continues (Teesside Freeport) Where is Labour on this? Promoting more Freeports and SEZs when none of them have proved in the slightest bit beneficial to anyone but investors Tell me otherwise if you know any genuinely “good” stories which aren’t number juggling

So, for the most part, I think the whole honours system in this country is very weird, archaic and overly politicised, however, if there is one thing that a knighthood is appropriate for, it’s making sure that kids don’t go hungry. Well done, @london.gov.uk.

Human sacrifice is legitimised by UK govts and practiced in every town (see linked article). Thousands sacrificed to the gods of free markets, privatisations, austerity, fiscal rules, mustn't tax the rich. None of it delivers prosperity. Must change politics. leftfootforward.org/2024/10/the-...

There are more than 10m children in school in the UK…but, per Times, 3,000 might move to state sector because of VAT rise…so Whitehall is “braced” 😲😲😲 Says a lot about UK media bubble, the way this story is reported. You pay VAT on luxuries. Private schooling is that.

Keir Starmer-led Labour Govt is unpopular. Why? It is following Tory or worse policies Two-child benefit cap Winter fuel payment cut No change in income tax thresholds No curb on profiteering No end to water woes Botched rail nationalisation Must change policies leftfootforward.org/2024/12/labo...
