About me and my art. I trained in (or taught myself) printmaking, drawing and illustration, jewellery making, and textile arts (knitting, embroidery, weaving, braiding, sewing) and other things besides. I generally post my work in progress, some experimental things, or older pieces I like

A moody, gestural pencil sketch of an Iris, planning for a woodblock print

For those interested in my profile pic, this is a jewellery piece I made for an exhibition in 2017. I kept this piece. It is about 7cm wide and 4cm deep, hand cut filigree in sterling silver. The wings are articulated and the beads are amethyst

It's past Christmas now, but I've decided to leave these floral press decorations I made up. They are made by pressing foliage into air drying clay, cutting out the circles with a cookie cutter, and painting them with acrylic

An older drawing from art school days, but the feeling of getting sucked into a black hole seems to fit the current climate...

Just joined, first post - a couple of WIP sketches
