nobody's first pair of socks looks perfect, have no fear! mine didn't even match - one was almost an inch longer than the other, haha. but it's just like you said - the farther you get, the more it comes together. and hey, as long as it's wearable when it's done, you did it right!

i'm not a member of any groups, but i do know that most local yarn stores would love to help with this kind of thing! my go-to is lamb shoppe (near 12th and madison). if you walk in and talk to the people behind the counter, they will probably be very willing to help! might be worth calling ahead :)

good god. i just contacted support and had the guy suggest a way to do this, and when i told him it didn't work, he sent basically "ok cancel your subscription and try to purchase it on site, bye!" and left.
for the record: didn't work. i am fuming. it should not be this hard to GIVE THEM MONEY.
