My 3 rules for character deaths. 1. The character has to be likeable. Not just personality, but who they are. 2. They have to have ambitions and goals. You don't just kill a person, you kill their future. 3. Someone has to love them and you have to break their heart. #writing #litrpg #storytelling

In Korea, it's common to get your ID photos taken at a photo studio. First, you sit and have a few shots taken. Next, you go to the editing suite where a professional edits your photo live while you watch. I've never been so humbled in my life. #life

Just hit 500 Followers on Royal Road. It's taken the better of 5 months and 100 episodes, but I made it. Freaking amazing. #webnovel #author #royalroad

Literally playing catch up with my Patreon at this point. I just finished today's update last night and I'm still working on the illustration that should've gone up with it. On the bright side, the illustrations help me actually picture the world and story so I'm writing a bit faster.

The Korean courts have issued a warrant to detain President Yoon. Office4s are currently at hos residence to carry out the warrant while supporters attempt to blockade the streets.

This month, Korea made history by impeaching it's second president in it's modern history. Then, today, they made history by impeaching their third. #holyshit

Had plans to head back home with my wife and our dog for Christmas, but due to health complications, my dog won't be able to make the trip. So we're cancelling our plans to stay home and take care of the pup.

Webnovel Writing Tip #5 Write what you're feeling, especially if you're blocked. While writing a single coherent story from start to finish would be ideal, it isn't the reality. Writing scraps out of order and putting them together is just as good as the alternative. #webnovel #royalroad #wattpad

Still looking at some different character designs, but I like the size contrast here between a regular human and a wraith

With 87 episodes of my webnovel under my belt, I've hit my first real roadblock. I have characters about to decide to plunge headlong into danger, but I can't put the scenes together. I'll get there, but it's just so many motivations and emotions that I'm having trouble keeping them all straight.

The Ubiquitous Black Knight is a character in fantasy that hides their identity and or heraldry. This leaves their origins a mystery which makes them nautrally interesting character. I haven't figured out how I want to use this in my story, but I'm a fan of their appearances in other stories.

::I offer up a prayer to the gods of writing:: Please help me to not make sentences that accidentally rhyme. Re-writing them when it does happen takes up much too much... oh, goddammitnotagain,

My current writing playlist is just classical music on repeat off of Amazon Music. It's nice to have something soothing and calming while four people fight off ice-type zombies with shields and swords.

I carefully planned my Q4 writing schedule so that I could have enough time to spend with my family over the holidays and also have enough time to work from home. I am 2 weeks behind that schedule. Dammit.

Webnovel Writing Tip #4 If you want feedback, use beta readers. There are multiple places to find beta readers, but it requires its own level of commitment. Check r/betareaders, GoodReads, r/writingcritiques, r/writersgroup, and more. #webnovel #writing #royalroad #wattpad

Webnovel Writing Tip #3 Make it easy for your audience to find you. There are multiple platforms out there with their own specialties and built-in audiences. Instead of publishing on multiple platforms, focus on one and expand later. #webnovel #writing #royalroad #wattpad

Webnovel Writing Tip #2 Readers can forgive a lot as long as you update consistently. If it's between participating in a Writathon this month or posting consistently for the next 3 months, focus on the latter. Your readers and view count will thank you for it. #webnovel #writing #royalroad #wattpad

Webnovel Writing Tip #1 A backlog of unreleased posts isn't JUST so you can consistently release content, it's so you can go back and change things without requiring a retcon. There's nothing worse than having to change something that's already published. #webnovel #writing #royalroad #wattpad

Well, I definitely missed a bunch of #RoyalRoad authors who have moved to Bluesky. Better late than never though. I've just added several more to this starter pack. (If you're still not there, let me know.)

The saddest days are the ones when I finish a good book. The happiest are when I start a new book. #books

Four rules I broke with my webnovel on Royal Road: 1. Short updates (~900 words on average) 2. I changed my cover. Twice. 3. I ran out of prepared updates and was writing 8 hours ahead. 4. I started a Patreon when I had 100 ~ish followers on RR. But things are going fine now^^ #royalroad #litrpg

Wicked is an amazing movie and one of the best (if not THE best) adaptation of a musical to screen... with the exception of one small thing. The part where neither my wife and I knew there was a Part 2. #wicked

My current track:

Literally on the cusp of hitting 120,000 views on Return of the Onion Knight on Royal Road after about five months of writing/publishing. #writing #royalroad #litRPG #progression

For all my writer friends ✍️ This is wonderful, wacky, wicked, & wise! 😏

Three ways to have characters speak in your story. 1. He said, she said: "That won't work," Hana said. 2. The action: Hana shook her head. "No, that won't work." 3. The break: "That..." Hana choked on the words. "That won't work." #writing #literature #books

Korean streamers literally put up a bounty on him which resulted him being beaten up twice. Currently, he can't leave the country because he's about to be prosecuted for multiple crimes. What the hell was he thinking?
