The staggering media illiteracy of the right wing explains so much about their political decisions. It is all surface level, they refuse to dig into deeper substance. They prefer "common sense" to scientific data, prefer crude, ineffective solutions as a result. Loud policies over effective ones.

A few years ago, there was similar discourse about sex scenes in films. Then came Saltburn and an explosion of sex in TV & film, that was very much embraced. For whatever reason, people feel judged by what they fill in surveys, even anonymously. Actual behaviour and analytics is the real story.
