The beginning of the end.

I have difficulty accepting that the entirety of the GOP would sign on to this entire project for a few bucks...

Prof. Nichols has a few things to say about that subject as well. I would stick with "authoritarian"

Looking back at it, this comes across as nearly derogatory, but unfortunately, I couldn't think of a more clever inclusion of Nichols. Someone wittier than I should take a stab at it.

I often wonder about this. Is it voluntary? Kompromat? Inducement? Extortion? Surely it can't be as simple as the entire GOP becoming poklonniks, can it?

Worked in find dining eons ago. Make a garlic confit and it will elevate the dish even further.

Why? The new model seems to be working just fine.

Its intentional language designed to obfuscate. The incurious among us have been conditioned to fear "terrorists" above all else. Loosening the guidlines of what constitutes "terrorism" gives this adminiatration free license to "disappear" whomever they choose. Very Pinochet-esque.

I would love to know what the "dog logic" is there. "Look at all the stuff were getting into while youre trapped in your water prison?"

"Previous principles" and "Conservatism" is an oxymoron. The last principled Republican was Eisenhower.

This dangerous escalation of their rhetoric means they will never bring him back. We're going to have to go get him.

I dont envy whoever that attorney may turn out to be. They will be famous for wholly unsavory reasons and likely under constant threat.

Virtually everything they're doing is unlawful and unconstitutional. Very few seem to want to discuss it out loud, but the real chink in the American armor is the enforcement question.

If he needs volunteers to deputize, count me in. I will happily detain and arrest every last one of them.

Yes it will...temporarily.

All of this tax payment and tax refund shit is unnecessary. We have the resources and the technology to distribute funds where necessary to appease any social ill.

We're definitely one step closer to seeing how this is going to play out on the rule of law question. What will be interesting is the first law enforecement "standoff" US Marshals vs. court appointed deputies? US Marshals vs. other US Marshals??

21% of Americans need to go back to high school and pay attention this time.

and the UMCJ which provides specific parameters for use of force and lawful rules of engagement (ROE) specifically designed to reduce civilian casualties. In this context, the civilians are the combatants. We should focus our efforts on organizing a peaceful national work strike.

One fire team of Delta operators can clear an entire 8 story building of insurgents without breaking a sweat. Do not think for a moment that reading books and videos will prepare you for armed conflict. And for those who want to mention Afghanistan & Iraq. Those soldiers were operating under LOAC
comment in response to post
I should add a note as the responsible thing to do. There is no scenario in which a regular citizen survives an encounter with a standing U.S. military force. If you are exposed you are already zeroed. Drones, air support, overwatch.... Delta operators are trained in counter-insurgency

Its our government. They are merely occupying the buildings. We the people can remedy that.

In urban combat and CQC, cover is your friend. Body armor is last resort defenses. Stealth, surprise and logistics win battles. And in most cases with a standing army, overwhelming force. Individuals do not win firefights. Force multipliers are a requisite.

One should note Level IV NIJ certified ceramic plates can only survive 1 round from 7.62 M2AP (30-06 steel) and possibly 2-3 of lesser M2AP such as 5.56mm, 7.62X39mm. (if spaced out accordingly) .338 Magnum Lapua, 6.5 Creedmor will decimate them in one hit. (No point in even mentioning BMG .50)

I'm no conspiracy nut either, but the statistical probability on those bullet ballot numbers are a major red flag.

If and when we decide to resolve this matter by private hands, I'm available for exfil . I do my best work at 800-1000 meters. I'm old and I wear glasses now...but I'm still within 1 MOA.
