In future generations, when your children and grandchildren look back on this moment, they are not going to ask about the price of eggs. They are going to ask you what you did. Not what you felt. Not what you paid. But what you did. And I want to be able to say I did everything I possibly could.

I ended up working 4 hours later than usual this past Saturday since we had an ice day off Tuesday. Which was expected and can’t ever be helped. Nature hits when it hits. I’ve worked Saturdays for 10 years now. It’s still strange to not ever have 2 days off in a row.

The Hegseth hearing is doing one thing incredibly well: it’s establishing that when his leadership at DoD fails, it’ll be clear that GOP Senators knew, excused it, and they own it. Serious concerns about experience & judgment are literally being laughed off.

People who have mothers who love them have no idea how blessed they are. That’s the default, right? Mothers should love their children. It breaks my heart that I have no idea what that’s like. And I’ll never know. It kills me for days after she tears me down and makes me feel like I’m nothing.
