Even the scary clown at the all inclusive resort I was at in Benidorm last Halloween had a chainsaw that actually ran. Absolutely terrified the kids to be fair.

My furry animals? Super.

Don't mind it mate.

This is a good way to spend an hour.

Had a really lovely day today, and yet the anxiety is creeping in now. Rubbish.

God a day of sun really makes everything feel a bit more bearable, doesn't it? I mean everything is still a bin fire, but, I needed today.

Had a bad night's sleep as my 13 month old is really struggling to sleep at night at the mo (she's the happiest child during the day so who knows what's going on). Didn't realise how tired I was til I found myself crying at videos of babies having glasses fitted for the first time.

Doing something a bit nerve wracking tomorrow, so if you've got any good vibes, send them my way. (Also any vibes for encouraging a one year old to sleep for more than an hour at a time also appreciated)

Just watched Black Box Diaries on iPlayer. Incredibly well made powerful documentary about the outdated rape laws in Japan. It's wild that the age of consent was 13 there until 2023.

The other day I found my old London A-Z. I genuinely carried this around in my bag whenever I went out as a student. Was this just a London thing? Did people in other cities do this? I can barely remember doing this, if someone else had told me they did I'm not sure I would believe them!!

I currently have avery sad 4 year old because Gladiators isn't on!

Absolutely incredible CRUK partnership episode of @herring1967.bsky.social's #RHLSTP with him, Mark Steele and Matt Forde talking about their cancer experiences. Such powerful testimony; a funny and important listen.

Fantastic! If you buy any children’s or YA book from Bookshop.org UK this month, 10% goes to BookTrust and Scottish Book Trust, to give more children access to books 💜 🏛️ Here are my classics-themed suggestions to make the most of this scheme…

Space people - what's this planet(?) directly above the moon at the moment?

Just eating breakfast for the first time since Monday. This stomach bug has been brutal.

Oh gosh this is terrible news.

Neko Case. What a talent. What an incredible human. www.theguardian.com/music/2025/j...

Why is JD Vance so obsessed with Rory Stewart?

RIP Marianne Faithfully. Still can't believe I got to see her, as the Devil in a production of Tom Waits/William Burroughs the Black Rider.

Ill,so I've decided to punish myself by watching the doc about the tech bro who wants to live forever. He has time and money to spend every day having the 'perfect' day. And yet women, who bring up children, go through pregnancy and childcare ruining basically EVERYTHING, on average live longer.

I went to this cinema SO OFTEN when I was a student in London. And the films I saw are significantly responsible for my personality I would say. Gotta save this cinema.

Happy birthday to Robert Wyatt. What a song this is. I remember the first time I heard it, at uni, when my friends Helen and Jack introduce me to Wyatt's music. It absolutely floored me and still does.

I'm having a bloody dinner party tomorrow night!!! 😱😱😱 #theTraitors
