Me and my art mentor, my big brother, at the opening of The Saddest Show on Earth. Open until 30th March 11-7pm at The Vaults, London. I’ll be there 22nd & 30th (perhaps avoid those dates if you don’t like crowds, most of my friends are coming up in droves 🤣) www.sophiegreenfineart.com/purchase

Heading into ‘The Saddest Show On Earth’ private launch… The exhibition is running until 30th March, so go check it out if you’re in town. Open daily 11am-7pm at The Vaults, Leake Street, London. Art - sophiegreenfineart.com/purchase

Wow! @sophiegreen.bsky.social’s ‘The Saddest Show on Earth' exhibition is absolutely incredible! It’s breathtaking! Do visit between 18-30 March if you can & on 22nd & 30th you can actually meet Sophie herself! In support of @BornFreeFDN Animals are NOT ‘commodities’ #SaddestShow

The Commodities collection is being exhibited in a hauntingly wonderful event; ‘The Saddest Show on Earth’ at The Vaults, London from 18-30 March 2025. I’ll be attending on the 22nd & 30th March if you want to come say hi! Otherwise, the show is free and open to the public daily from 11am-7pm.

There are only 6 canvas prints of this piece left! In anticipation of my upcoming print release for the Commodities collection, I’m running a sale on all prints! Check ‘em out! Artbasket.co.uk/prints?tag=Sophie

I don’t really paint commissions, but this was a rare exception a few years ago that I couldn’t resist. ‘Sibkehe’, acrylic on linen.

I painted this piece last year from a reference photo that I took in Tanzania and it sold at auction and the money went back into conservation in Africa. An underrated species to paint.. The humble zebra 🦓… What’s your favourite subject to paint/create/film/photograph?

Can you Help get this to 70%? My book Gigantium has just a few weeks to get this fully funded! It won't happen without your help! The first edition hardback & the ebook and the name of your choice are printed at the back of the book. Please PLEDGE here: unbound.com/books/gigantium

Chipping away at the latest piece in the Commodities collection…

Ma primates 🤘🏼 ‘Dignity’ & ‘Temperance’, 100x140cm, acrylic on linen canvas. Both pieces are part of the Commodities collection and will be exhibited in London in March 2025.

‘Reflection’, 100x140cm, acrylic on linen canvas. The first in the Commodities collection.

Acrylic on linen canvas. There’s something so wonderful about animal belly buttons. 👇🏼

Putting down those base layers for the next Commodities piece. For this piece, I’m using a reference photo that I took a couple of years ago. 🐻‍❄️

‘Florida’s Gentle Giant’, acrylic on linen canvas. Prints of this piece are no longer available, but you will find all other available prints in my print shop>> artbasket.co.uk/prints?tag=Sophie

It was such an honour to paint this piece and be at its unveiling last month in the US. 💙 I’ve enjoyed putting together the Commodities collection, but I’ve been painting animals on plinths for over a year and a half and it was nice to take a little break and paint something less plinthy!

An excellent evening at the private screening of Marc Abraham & team’s ‘Dogspiracy’. Such an eye-opening documentary about puppy mills in the US. I had a lump in my throat thinking of my girl at home snuggled up in her princess bed whilst the dogs in #dogspiracy slept on metal wire. 😔
