Chilling out watching Pink Floyd concerts on YouTube and came across a performance of Comfortably Numb with David Bowie as guest. I miss Bowie :(

Infinite Ouroboros ready to send off to The Year of the Snake show at This is Not a Toy Store. 2025 has already been a roller-coaster for many and the first two months of the year already feel like an infinite time loop. Here's hoping the the rest of the year is filled with growth and renewal.

Little Walkman Bot joins the squad. I figured there is some irony to the idea that it scoots around on little wheels. I know the scale of these little guys varies, but they still make a fun little team :)

A last retro bot for the team. Phony Rollman ;)

8bit Bot painted up. The face plate is swappable :)

8bit Bot prototype printed really well! I'll try to get the paints done tomorrow :)

An 8bit Bot to go with my Boom Bot. Hopefully I can get it printed on the weekend :)

Throwback Thursday. Catthulhu.

Fun little one hour paint job on the little mecha. :)

Boom Bot printed and painted. Ready for inclusion in some sort of diorama. I'd still like to stick some cool mini stickers onto it, particularly on the back as well as adding so uv resin to the tuner etc. This is definitely a WIP.

Had an idea the other day. Had to get it out of my head :) Boom Bot. Nomad Sculpt.

Closest I get to Valentines Day...

Further research on "how small can I print?"... really small apparently. Mech Walker and Combat Bike from about 23 years ago lol. No real cleanup apart from ripping off the supports, I'll have to get my digital microscope out if I want to actually do cleanup. :)

Throwback Thursday. My regular reminder to myself (and some of you) that sharing your work can lead to unexpected moments of joy. :)

I couldn't help myself...I picked all of the skulls off the supports :) Weirdest breakfast cereal ever!

Replenishing my collection of tiny silly monster skulls. This lot printed on a Mars 5 ultra... I printed in various sizes including one batch at a stupidly small size to see what would happen lol. I'm going to leave them on the supports and clip them off when I need them. Sculpted in Nomad Sculpt.

Hanging out at SAGE The SA Game Exhibition. It was great to see so many gamers, creators and educators in the same place. I'm always honoured to be afforded the chance to speak at events like this. My voice is pretty croaky now, a good sign that it was a fun day catching up with old friends and new.

I loved the new version of Nosferatu. I imagine this is how the character update happened...

Throwback Thursday to experiments in 3d printing. These two variations are from the same model I created in Nomad Sculpt. Both are painted and given a post production treatment of added diorama elements, this is not a direct comparison. The "snow" version is FDM and the "dirt" version is resin.

We'll be having some pixel art fun in the Digital Games topic this week. I already have a fantasy hero for my class demo but I figured it would be fun to add a cyberpunk hero to the mix. There are some lighting examples and some lower resolution versions added for discussion in the demo :)

Galaxy paint job. I'll sleep on it, but I think I like it :) Infinity Ouroboros

Work in progress for the Year of the Snake show at This is Not a Toy Store and Dollhouse Gallery Brunswick Infinity Ouroboros :)

Throwback Thursday... we've all been there.

Friends and I spent a lovely Saturday doing our latest group craft challenge. This time we had wooden book boxes to turn into some sort of shadow box/diorama. Mine is an ancient D&D Monster Manual with a research collection inside.

Flashback Friday. A D&D book Mimic. Polymer clay and acrylic paints.

Light post done for the cyberpunk scene. Still a couple of bits and pieces to add but this is what the lighting looks like 🙂 The light is not attached so I can use it for other photos and scenes!

I call this one "A Bad Place for a Breakdown". I do like a bit of old school, low tech cyberpunk and a good toymod so when I saw this BMW toy car for $10 at Kmart, I knew it was going to be a good start :)

In my teen years I built a ATAT model kit and it has stayed with me for all all these years. It had plaster for snow, a simple paint job and a sad snowspeeder on a bent wire. So I spent some time to revive it, compacted the base and cleaned up the paints. Now it can go back on the shelf :)

Throwback Thursday. Little sleeping dragon baby. Sculpted in Nomad Sculpt, printed and then I added a baby dragon hoard diorama around it.

Final photos of "The Race". Built over the foundation of two toy tractors from the collection I found at an opshop and so fits with my other alternative future rural diorama :) I still have more tractors so I'll definitely be adding to this narrative in future.
