I have an interview coming up in solar-terrestrial physics, and I need to give a 15 minute presentation about my work. I sometimes get nervous, so I’d really appreciate any tips on preparing and staying confident. Help please! #SpaceWeather #Geoscience #SolarPhysics

Tried to spot some meteoroids, but the #auroras stole the show! #Norway #northernlights

Congratulations to #ParkerSolarProbe! I took this picture a few weeks ago at #AGU24 and had the opportunity to see the excitement of solar physicists about this major achievement. I’m very excited about what’s coming next for solar science! blogs.nasa.gov/parkersolarp...

If you will be at #AGU24 and are interested in #IndigenousScience, check out these sessions! #AGUIndigenous There is a reception which we need you to register for, so feel free to drop a comment and I’ll add the link Excited to connect with Indigenous scholars and allied researchers next week!

Did you know the ocean is separated into layers? Water has different densities. Cold water is heavier than warm water. Freshwater is lighter than saline or brackish water. Because of this the ocean becomes layered. You can test this out at home with soap, water and other liquids🧪🌊

Hello, Bluesky #SciComm-ers! @agu.org's SciComm wing, Sharing Science, has joined the trend. As intro: we help scientists not be like the one in this cartoon.

🐼🌍 Pandgea has arrived in Washington, D.C., and is ready to welcome you to #AGU24! Spotted exploring iconic landmarks like the Lincoln Memorial and the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, our favorite panda mascot is gearing up for an exciting week!

Excited to attend #AGU24 next week! Looking forward to connecting with fellow researchers, sharing insights on space weather, and learning from the research being presented. Let’s advance science together! 🌍✨ #AGU2024 #SpaceWeatherResearch #Geoscience

I can't find African Scientists and researchers easily on here. As the second largest continent with 1.3 billion inhabitants our perspectives matter. I'm creating a starterpack to find folks, follow them and amplify them. If you are an African Scientist let me know below so I can add you. Thanks.

In case you didn't know, the aurora is not always green :)

This is a great demonstration for anyone who does visual data analysis. There are 12 black dots – but you'll have trouble seeing more than one or two at a time. The human visual system is not an especially reliable way to process images or extract features from out-of-the-ordinary visual fields. 🧪☀️

I've been running a solar flux/sunspot number reporting bot at @jj1bdx.bsky.social. This bot collects and sends the report every three hours. 🧪

Had an amazing time at the European Space Weather week 2024! So many interesting talks and even better company. It was great catching up with old friends and connecting with new people in the field.

Hello. I’m new here. I’m interested in following researchers working on #spaceweather #solarphysics #solarterrestrialphysics
