Finished a challenge run of Vagrant Story last night, where I used no Battle Abilities (no Chain or Defence) or Break Arts, and was surprised by how easy I found it, especially compared to when I did a no Magic run a few months previously. Turns out Magic is pretty OP!

Finished the first four Earthsea books, currently on the short stories before reading The Other Wind, but holy goddamn hell, Tehanu was fucking outstanding. Genuinely one of the best things I've ever read. It's been a while since I've been lying in bed and reading way past when I should be sleeping.

As a man gets older, there are certain things he needs to start taking care of that he never had to before. Like nose hairs. Trimmers for the job exist so it's not too onerous, but mine has fallen over too many times and rather than cutting, it now plucks batches at a time. Life is pain.

Post a perfect album from the 90s that isn’t Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, or Alice In Chains. I really struggled to pick just one! Nearly chose Rust in Peace, Rage Against the Machine, Jagged Little Pill, OK Computer and more... I've gone with Blind Guardian's Nightfall in Middle-Earth!
