After lots of disassembly/reassembly I have given up on getting the Ultegra 6510 shifters to work. There are many options for 9 speed shifters thanks to Shimano indexing being the same across Road and MTB. I found a set of Sora 3500s for £20. The next challenge was getting the perfect position.

I grabbed what I think is a bargain! A 2000 Cannondale CAAD4 with Ultegra 6500. I loved this colour way on the MTBs of this era, it makes me a bit nostalgic looking at this bike. Let's see how it restores... #cannondale #CAAD4
