For those who aren't willing to abandon reality no matter the cost: 1. To the absolute best of your ability, make damn sure there's nothing they can easily use against you. [There will always be something which they can contrive. It's still worth it to make that as difficult as possible.]

Not having a single traceable thing about you makes you stand out more then you'd think. They have the ability to track every phone of every protester. People without phones are rare and get special attention. Your goal at a protest shouldn't be to look like nobody, but to look like everybody.

One of my party facts is that according to polls, Americans believe foreign aid is about 25% of the federal budget and on average that it *should* be about 10%. The actual number is less than 1%. Foreign aid has long been a boogey man of the right, so it's not surprising they're vilifying it now.
