Just had a telemedicine with my oncologist and he said I've made fantastic progress and my hemoglobin and platelet levels look basically normal! Now we just keep an eye on the cancer markers. And he's working on getting me a new version of my medicine that I don't have to fast around.

In 1968 Finland banned for profit education, the few private schools that exist in Finland have to reinvest any profit they make or pay it back to parents. It has been in the Top 3 in education for the last 20 years. There should be no profit in education or healthcare.

A weird convention in RPGs is standardized currency; mostly this is for the convenience of players, because they want to convert their gold into More Kewl Powerz. Even RuneQuest, by Greg Stafford, does this, and Greg absolutely knew better! Real world wealth transfer has more friction.

On the 16th I had my (hopefully last) surgery for cancer bits. It was a super fast outpatient surgery to remove a very small bladder tumor. We’re waiting on the biopsy to find out what kind it was, but given its size and ease of removal, it was almost certainly a slow growing, non-aggressive sort.
