I see it going exactly the opposite way. Bans on all imports, just like the DMVs in far too many states. Hell, they’ll probably extend the Chicken Tax to cover all vehicles built outside the US, too.

Lots of takes like “wait until grandma can’t get her kidney meds!” And it’s like, this situation is already very real to millions of (young!) disabled people. The “grandma” trope shows how much not-currently-disabled people think they’re immune to chance. Disability can happen to anyone at any time.

I wish my nb brother would realize that muscles aren’t masculine or feminine. They used to work out all the time but then stopped abruptly when they started HRT, and became constantly lethargic and underweight… Now they’re trying to gain weight, but got angry when I mentioned working out again 🫠
