#booksky I listened on audiobook. The narrator did a solid job. She has a British accent, but it didn't make it harder to understand. This is a detective type book, but the detective is a really smart 12 year-old girl. It has the laugh to yourself quietly type humor. Recommended.

#booksky Recent Reads: Blood and Thunder: An Epic of the American West by Hampton Sides. A history of the American SW. I learned about aspects of the Mexican War and Civil War I didn't know. The history moved along quickly, but with human interest to make it interesting even for a fiction reader.

#booksky My recent reads: The Final Solution by Michael Chabon - Under 200 pages -Book club choice. I found it a bit hard to follow and not a rewarding read. Spotted Horses by William Faulkner - I've heard of the author, so I tried a short book by him. It was interesting, but not very fun.

#Seahawks #NFL Can the Steelers have provided a model for getting compensatory picks by signing QBs to one-year contracts as a backup? The team would have to do it in a year they don't expect to earn compensatory picks. Then not go heavy in FA the next year to keep the picks.

It is nutty that Trump's Exec Order lead me to ask my stepson if his dad was a U.S. citizen when my stepson was born. I have since learned the EO only affects those born 30 days from the EO and into the future, but the fact that I had to question whether my stepson is a US Citizen is insane.
