The last normal year for Canadian businesses was 2019. We've been in a global pandemic/economic recovery since then, and now we get tariffs fucking our shit up. Phenomenal. Just what we want.

I don't plug my business on here all the time, but we could really use the patronage after a less-than-stellar start to the new year. So we're having a sale! Come and grab select brands for reduced price (and save the GST until Saturday when the GST holiday ends!) Remember: support local!

Progressives in Lethbridge are meeting tonight at the flex space in the YWCA building at 7 pm. Come down and get to know others in the city who are interested in moving the city forward through the next Municipal and School Board elections! You're not alone!

I know it's hard to focus, with everything flooding our feeds, but remember that the best actions we can take are the ones that impact our local communities. It's easy to get bogged down in despair, but don't fret. There are still good works being done.

I’ve been saying it for years, but the time has never been better. Want to hold down costs to the public? Establish a publicly owned, nonprofit basic good grocery chain or brand. Cut profit out of the equation and improve food access and security while creating jobs.

Our business philosophy has been simple from the beginning...

If only the pros outweighed the cons

If you find yourself in the vicinity of Theoretically Brewing (1263 2nd ave s, Lethbridge) we're hosting the petition against coal mining and I'd LOVE to fill these sheets with signatures! Come visit us any time 11 - 9. Cheers!

We get the democracy we participate in. Say it again.

I'm such a HUGE fan of Andrew Nikiforuk's work. He lives in the watershed. Please read this (and look up all his articles in @thetyee.ca). Please pass this on to EVERYONE. thetyee.ca/Analysis/202...

Feb 11 at 7 pm an informal group of Lethbridge progressives will be getting together to strategize about the upcoming municipal election. Location TBD. PM me for details if you like or would like to get on our mailing list. #abpoli #lethbridge #yql

History friends! Take this quick and easy survey! Even if you're casually practicing history (like me, these days!)

Hey friends! A few new rad ways to support the abortion access in #YQL and all of #alberta . The first option potentially wins you one of six tattoo prizes: www.zeffy.com/en-CA/ticket... The second option looks SO FUN: www.eventbrite.ca/e/punks-for-... Punks for Choice show on Feb 1 at The Slice

Yesterday, Minister Nixon announced that the Government of Alberta would be reneging on its promise to fund interim housing in Jasper. It’s another broken promise by the UCP, one that impacts the long-term survival of the Jasper townsite.

According to our own Mayor, around 36% of Lethbridge's property taxes go to support our Emergency Services (police, fire, EMS) and their responses to the needs of Lethbridge citizens. I'm curious: how many of those responses were for people in automobile collisions and what is the total cost? >

Love how @strudelbrand.com is highlighting these little wonderful pieces and their creators. Art is so precious to the community, and we're so lucky to have the Allied Arts Council of Lethbridge to support these programs in our city. Thanks for doing your amazing work, Pastries!

So anyways… The TBA folks are boosting this poll… Sure would be a shame if you voted in it… #abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli www.westernwheel.ca/polls/do-you...
