I still remember loving Morrowind and being excited about Fable because it was hyped to the heavens as expansive as MW but it ended up being a B- action RPG with the depth of a paper towel. It's not the worst game in the world but after playing hundreds of hours of MW it's a huge disappointment.

It's a universally awful technology except for one important feature: it has the nearly limitless room for growth that the market really needs right now. It's never, ever, going to be useful but as long as you can promise usefulness is right around the corner, you can keep it going forever!

Oh so the conservatives have caught up to what liberals were saying like 6-8 months ago

I swear I heard Joe Montana was a war criminal. Better remove him just in case.

Riverdale! You could do an hour and a half on each episode for all the insane things that happen in them

Riverdale is an amazing show and I'm tired of pretending it's not

The revelation that he hadn't read a single book on any topic prior to October 2023 explains a lot about him

Incidentally I'm re-listening to the podcast and I'm about halfway through the French one. I'm absorbing so much more the second time around.

I'm going with the only cryptid Iowa has: the Van Meter Visitor, some sort of pterodactyl-looking thing that shoots lasers out of its head. It has been spotted exactly once, in 1903.

He got betrayed by the gods and went on a murder spree of titans, gods, demons, and just random people. He was a big ol' edgelord but now he's grown up and has a lot of regrets.

My kids have gotten into that series recently. I keep asking questions like "do they wear armor" or "do they use weapons" or "do they have magic powers" and every time the answer is "no, they're just cats"

A tiny space puppy is stuck in a hole. A: pick the puppy up and give it pets (+1 light side point) B: hurl the puppy and its entire family into the nearest star (+1 dark side point)

It's so good. I can't believe people still unironically believe in IQ after it was so thoroughly demolished over 40 years ago.

I remember seeing some guy say he was a philosopher because he had two degrees in philosophy and it turned out they were an associate's and bachelor's in political science

Omg I just had to do one of those for like 100ft and I thought I was gonna die. Next time I'll just carry my bike through people's yards

Not sure about anyone else, but you made fun of someone I don't like and it really riled them up. It made me laugh.

Have you seen the one where Daffy fights the Nazis? I watched that one so many times when i was a kid because it was on a VHS collection. Pretty strange in retrospect.

Y'all gonna do Unhumans? Seems like a good time to tackle it.

I've fired AR-15s at many random things. They absolutely can fire straight through something while leaving only a hole. Even if it were a hollow-point round, it wouldn't have enough space to mushroom if it hit an ear.

Their urban sprawl is going to take decades to unravel, and that's even assuming we shouldn't just let the whole area return to desert given how intensely wasteful the whole thing is.

Don't let those fall into the wrong hands. You might get framed for some crime by bitemark analysis.

Haha it might not be for you then. I know lots of people bounce off of it because of the controls

If you can get the hang of the ship controls, play Outer Wilds. It's completely unlike anything else I've ever played. I wish I could wipe my memory of it so I could play it for the first time again.

This is one of the most frustrating parts to me. We're looking at 2029 as the very earliest before we can possibly get an admin that's more friendly on the issue.

Exactly. So much of the discourse seems to be trying to argue with people that no, their job actually *is* valuable! Personally, I've never had a job I would consider to be entirely bullshit, but I generally trust people when they say theirs is one.

It's available as a free ebook if you're interested!
comment in response to post
That's also not what it is. Maybe give the book a shot! It's an easy read!
comment in response to post
No it doesn't. The whole theory is based around people thinking their own jobs are bullshit.
