Blind disregard for human life isn't a logical response to taxes being levied. Period. The issue will likely be resolved politically so all of this vitriol just exposed how many Canadians have fallen into a lack of empathy for the innocent people that would die if power is cut. Fight cynicism.

Legacy and pop media should understand that hiding stories behind a paywall just sends me to another news source, takes less than a minute. If they want my money they would need to start showing more integrity. There are lots of other sources that have the same info that they do typically.

This is so important. We can't keep life saving and accessible support services to people who have fallen victim to addiction. I see people callously blame perceived moral failings of the person but not the systemic failure of our government to keep the drug crisis from growing instead

Making assumptions about strangers on the Internet is almost a badge of pride for people who are too lazy or emotionally compromised to seek out the truth. I don't owe anyone an explanation for my actions but watching people misinterpret them via personal bias is a study in human behavior for sure.
